CREATIVE APPROACH
I create evocative lyrical abstractions where sound, image, light and movement converge. As an interdisciplinary artist, I work across digital painting, reimagined photography, experimental video animation, musical composition and sound art. I explore the intersection of beauty and drama, creating visual and auditory worlds that move between delicacy and intensity, stillness and movement, the familiar and the imagined.
My process is one of surrender—listening as much as seeing. I follow the rhythm of the brush as I follow the rise and fall of a melody, allowing colour to move like sound through space. Shapes drift into being the way notes gather into harmony, each finding its place within an unfolding composition.
I create digital paintings shaped by the feel of watercolour and acrylic, alongside digitally transformed photography that reveals hidden, otherworldly spaces. Layers of colour and texture emerge, swell and recede, often developing intuitively until a moment of recognition arrives—a sense that something alive has begun to hum beneath the surface. From there, each brushstroke, each texture, each sound either belongs or it does not; the work itself decides.
My work explores atmosphere, transformation, and the inner landscapes of memory, protection and light. A spark of inspiration might come from nature, a work of art, a place, a fragment of sound, the marvels of science, or a deeply felt emotion. These beginnings become points of departure for imagined landscapes of sculpted sound and image.
Experimentation is central to my practice. I continually explore new technologies and techniques, allowing sonic and visual elements to transform and find their own relationships. My aim is for each work to feel organic and cohesive, with vibrant dynamism and fluent lines merging into a unified whole.
Ultimately, I want my work to create a space for connection and discovery—to evoke joy, pain, wonder, playfulness or quiet reflection, while leaving room for the viewer to find something uniquely their own.
